This week it was all about keeping cool. Lots of water play was offered including ducks in the paddling pool, boats in the tuff tray, and washing cars in the water tray. It was all about messy play this week. The children made footprints after painting their feet with a paintbrush and paint. Fascinated with the cornflour the children watched as it turned from solid to liquid. Washing babies and bikes is always a favourite, and so is the climb to the Chapel.

This week the children have made the most of the good weather and participated in lots of activities outside. At the allotments they crushed weetabix using mallets, climbed a tyre mountain, made ramps in water and guttering for cars, dug holes to scatter wild seeds, and enjoyed the hammock. In the garden the children mixed the mixture up to make the bee bombs we are selling on Saturday 8th April along with the cakes parents are kindly making.

After moving the tyres to watch Marj weed the planters the children couldn’t resist showing her how it’s done. Making the most of the sunshine the children had a fun filled afternoon at the park. Beating the rain one morning, the children washed the cars and ride on toys using soapy water, sponges and brushes.
