Shape wands

In forest school the children found sticks and made shape wands. They then used their wands to make different shapes by themselves and with each other. They made triangles above their heads, crosses in front of them and circles in the air using the ribbons. The big challenge was making a square with someone else! Afterwards they made a ‘fire’ with the leftover sticks.

We are excited to share that the children have restarted their supervised toothbrushing routine this term as part of the Big Brush Club! Every day at 9:30 our brilliant children grab their toothbrushes and clean those pearly whites, all while enjoying fun toothbrushing songs to help them brush for the full 2 minutes. Not only is it helping to build healthy habits, but it’s also a great way for the children to develop their independence as they take responsibility for their own self-care.

Every year children at Pre-school, as well as children from schools in Burton Bradstock, Portesham, Litton Cheney, and St Catherine’s Bridport decorate candle bags for Candles on St Catherine’s Hill, Abbotsbury. On Sunday 23rd November 1:15pm till dusk there will be a huge wheel of light and a pathway lit by candle bags, There is also music in the chapel at 3:00pm.

Other activities this week included talking about feelings, cutting and sticking, small world train set, hiding animals in hay and fixing roof boxes on top of cars.
