Gingerbread house

Looking for something to do at the weekend? Why not pop along to Gorwell Farm to make a gingerbread house or wreath. Fun activities for all the family.

Perfect timing to receive the gift of 18 hand knitted hats to wear during this cold snap. The children had a difficult time choosing the one they liked the best.

To keep the children warm on a chilly day at forest school we played a game of different animal actions. There was some excellent arm flapping to imitate birds. We then did an experiment to see which direction the wind was blowing by throwing  leaves in the air. The children had a competition to see which leaf went the furthest.

With big rolls of paper, brushes and an endless supply of mud the children covered the paper to make a picture. Obliviously this led on to hand and foot printing!

Listening to stories is always popular at Pre-school, so is playing in an empty box. Using the climbing frame as a pirate ship, the children made telescopes and used other props.
