Reindeer Soup Sensory Play

This week we created Reindeer Soup — a fun Christmas-themed sensory experience. The children explored a tray filled with milk, carrots, natural loose parts (flowers, leaves, pinecones) and utensils. They used spoons, tongs, cups and bowls to scoop, mix, squeeze, pour and create their own special reindeer recipes. They loved watching the colours mix and imagining they were cooking for Santa’s reindeer!

Other Christmas activities included decorating the Christmas tree, making Christmas trees, a tinsel hunt, and cutting out Christmas shapes using cinnamon scented playdough.

Preparations for the bog garden started this week at the allotments. Step 1: Dig and prepare the area. Mark out and dig: Mark the desired shape of your bog garden and dig a hole. This will be an ongoing project that will help to build essential life skills like collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
