Cable reel construction zone.

A huge thank you to Jason Peach for our new cable reels! These have completely transformed our room into a bustling construction site. Combined with various loose parts, the children have been building towers, bridges, and complex workstations, proving that an open-ended resource is often the best toy in the room.

We set out an invitation to create using natural treasures. Using photo frames, the children curated their own “nature pictures,” arranging delicate petals, sturdy twigs, and bright leaves. It was a wonderful way to practice fine motor skills and appreciate the beauty of the changing seasons.

Craft activities including clay and card were offered for children to make for a special person in their life.

At the allotments the children discovered bright the pink stalks hidden under the giant leaves of rhubarb, continued digging in mud and making mud slides.

Indoors the children hunted for buried treasure, sailed the pirate ship, and made maps and telescopes.
