This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Teagan from The Sir John Colfox Academy to our setting. Teagan chose to complete her work experience placement with us and brought fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the preschool.
Using a bottle with the end cut off the children stretched material over the cut end to make a bubble snake maker. Adding a few drops of food colouring to water and soap the children dipped the sock end into the bubble solution and blew into the mouth of the plastic bottle to watch a colourful bubble snake emerge.
Cutting rhubarb picked from the allotments, the children helped to make rhubarb sorbet. After adding water and sugar to the saucepan and cooking it the children had a go at using the blender. Unfortunately it didn’t freeze in time so the children will get to taste it next week.
After a great morning at the playground the children enjoyed walking through the nature walk, and having a rest on the bench at the end.
