Hedgehog treasure basket

Encouraging hands-on exploration and stimulating sensory experiences this week children explored a variety of items. The varied textures, shapes, and colours helped to engage their senses and promote fine motor skills. Activities inspired by this included, using sticks and conkers to make playdough hedgehogs, fork printing, and cutting and sticking tissue paper onto handprint hedgehogs.

At the allotments this week children looked for items to float in water. They had great fun guessing if the item floated or sank. After raking and removing weeds from a planter some children helped Marj plant stocks.

As usual the soft play and ball pit provided a safe and stimulating environment for little ones, and not so little to explore, climb, and play.
