Parachute games

Playing parachute games proved to be a favourite activity this week. Working together to move the parachute is a great way to develop gross motor skills. The children were fascinated with the slow worm we found in the garden. They used tape measures and rulers to see how long it was and some children gently […]

Fantastic sand donation

We can not thank JC Phillips and Son Ltd enough for filling up our sandpit. The children have been playing in it all week, building sandcastles and ‘making cups of tea’. At the allotments the children used water to make a duck slide, make a very deep puddle and to paint with. Games played included

We had an extra special visitor to the Pre-school this week. The Easter Bunny! Spotting the ears the children went to investigate and found lots of Easter Eggs to collect in their baskets. Inside the children selected items from the junk modelling table to paint and made creatures

Carrying on with their interest in dens, we made dens inside and out, under tables, in containers, and using wooden pallets. Breaking up weetabix proved very popular

Thank you to Marj, Nicole, Amy and Sam for holding the fort in my absence. For World Book Day on Thursday the children looked fantastic in their character

Storm Eunice

With all the talk of the storm approaching the children set to work making a shelter, deconstructing a table, and making the garden safe. It wasn’t all hard work, we played hide and seek and used crates to reach the flags as well. Inside the children decorated heart shapes, sorted and filled pots with different

Ready, steady, go.

Having races, causing gridlock, making slides and dens were just a few of the antics the children got up to this week in the main hall. In the second hall the children acted out the gingerbread man story, made beautiful music and played with the castle and train set. Outside we hunted for colours, shapes
