This week at the allotments, the children were very excited to find a digger blocking the entrance! They stood and watched it for a while, completely fascinated, before carefully squeezing past so they could still get in. From the other side of the fence, they continued watching before moving on to make lots of muddy mud pies.
On Tuesday, as the road was closed, some of the children began acting this out in their play, setting up their own road closure and talking about what was happening.
Thursday was very wet, so we brought out the parachute for some energetic indoor fun. The children also enjoyed gluing and painting activities during the week. Outside, we set up some guttering for ducks to swim down.
