Digging for potatoes

Helping Marj pull up potatoes proved hard work, so the children took a break in the den and cooled down with ice pops. Some of the potatoes were taken home to cook and the rest were hidden in soil where the children enjoyed digging them up.

Lots of water play was enjoyed again this week including floating letters, and ducks. The children made boats out of orange skins, and squeezed the skins to make ‘orange juice’. When the heat got too much, some children just sat in the water!

Crushing ice cooled the children down, as well as painting the wall with water, and making garages with wooden blocks for cars inside.
