Allotment adventures and magic wands.

A trip to the allotments sparked the children’s imagination and connected them with nature: After listening to a beautiful outdoor story, the children gathered twigs and natural treasures. Then wrapped them in bright rainbow wool to create beautiful, magical nature wands.

In the garden children loaded up wheelbarrows with bricks, wheeling them across the garden to build our very own house. They also used big brushes to clear all the fallen leaves off our shade canopy, ready for next weeks predicted heatwave.

Our main theme truly brought the prehistoric world to life! The children dived into a variety of hands-on math and science activities: Dino Swamps & Nests: We explored sensory dinosaur swamps and carefully examined dinosaur nests filled with mysterious eggs. Fossil Digs: Little paleontologists practiced their fine motor skills by digging for dinosaur bones in our excavation area. Underpants Math: After laughing along to the storybook Dinosaurs Love Underpants, the children practiced number recognition by sorting underpants along a giant number line.

A Sunday Surprise đź’–

The children spent time focusing on kindness and fine motor skills by crafting a very special card for someone loved. Keep an eye out for it this Sunday!
