Eager to show off their costumes and excited to share their books we celebrated World Book Day with lots of stories and activities. Focussing on ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ our role play area was set up with a table, chairs, plates, cups and saucers. The children wrote an invitation to their friends and enjoyed a tea party where they poured their drinks and made their own sandwiches. They explored colour mixing to create orange paint and used brushes to paint the outside wall. Whilst reading the story the children created a story map showing the different events of the story.
