World book day

Creating a comfortable space for children to explore books this week encouraged children to act out stories. Making Gruffalo crumble, decorating and eating gingerbread men, and book scavenger hunts offered an interactive and immersive environment. To help cultivate a love for books children were given a £1 book token and a pack from the book trust.

At the allotments this week some children needed a rest after helping Marj dig. They relaxed in the hammock, set up a ‘tea party’, ‘painted the house’ and created some artwork.

To celebrate Mother’s day on Sunday the children made a card for a special person in their lives.
