Homemade salt dough

Making salt dough involves science, math, technology, and engineering, as well as creative art and design exploration! After measuring out and mixing the flour, salt and water the children kneaded it to make a ball. Using rolling pins they flattened the dough and selected some of the natural items they had collected from the garden to decorate their dough.

Using the conkers from last week the children rolled them in paint to make a lovely marble effect on paper, and rolled conkers down the guttering to see how far they would go.

The children are enjoying lots of arts and crafts at the moment including painting and gluing.
